Juzu (Plum wood)

Dark brown Juzu beads with purple tassels. It is big enough for men. (67cm and it is about 26″)

Beads are made from Japanese Plum wood.

Plum is well known to protect from illness or disease in Asian culture.  That is why during the 35 day training for new priests at Mt. Minobu, they all carry Juzu beads made from Plum wood.
